Into The Archive is a new series that I will be amusing on So Into You. It will consist of an array of articles that were written by myself between 2013 - 2016 that have been lost in the depths of the Wayback Machine. Runways always manage to become a visual cornucopia for shoe lovers everywhere, and again throughout September we certainly didn't go without. This season we saw flats continuing to give heels a run for their money due to some earnestly covetable brogues. Platforms in patent leather, bedecked in sequins and with a wooden heel were also seen endlessly throughout the fashion month. Last but not least came the athletic shoe trend which is still going strong whether it be a classic trainer to sandals involving sportswear buckles. Feast your eyes below to see a collection of my favourite few spring/summer 2015 footwear trends.
Miuccia Prada has offered us with the virtues of three types of girls for spring/summer 2015Â - the brat, the slut and the bad girl. The Miu Miu collection portrayed these persona's through shiny satin pencil skirts with unmatched waist belts, ruffled crop tops, reoccurring punk-influenced plaid and a strong unforeseen set of outerwear. With a colour palette of pastel pinks and neutral whites to the navy and blacks in which you would see regularly around the office, the first thing that pops into my mind is the whole synopsis of a good girl gone bad. When it comes to footwear it's definitely on the sweeter, more feminine side of things with bowed mules and gigantic platforms. My personal favourite are the patent peep-toe mules that came in an assortment of colour variations.

The second piece of footwear that I spotted was within the Chanel collection. As the models walked down the runway carrying signs with provocative feminist statements, a theme of girl power was echoed through slouchy suits rendered in colourful tweed, and washed out prints appearing on everything from boots to blouses; there was even small evening bags featuring typography quoting 'ladies first'. To extend this feminist idea that Lagerfeld has played on there were elements of flower appliqués. The shoes that took my particular interest were the glistening cut-out brogues that sparkled in a lush golden hue with the bold black suede toe to finish.
Similarly, the sling-back stilettos covered with a fringed tinsel-like material paired with Rochas very own monogrammed, ribbed ankle socks carried a sumptuous harvest gold hue with a graduated pale violet red towards the tip of the point. To complete the mule, a flirty crystal heel has been implemented.
